ADULT FAITH FORMATION DIPLOMA 2025:

Is a basic programme which aims to renew Christian life and promotes pastoral leadership. It is presented weekly on Zoom from the Archdiocese of Edinburgh on Thursdays evening 7.30p.m. – 8.30p.m.

NIGHTFEVER:

Westport Deanery invites you to join us at St. Mary's Parish Church Westport on Saturday 2nd of November for an evening of special encounter. This event, known as "Nightfever", is essentially an invitation to all, to come and experience the love and goodness of God in a beautiful atmosphere of reverence, music and candlelight. The evening will begin with Vigil Mass at 6.30 pm and will continue until approximately 10.30 pm. There will be ample opportunity for adoration, prayer and confessions. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please contact Martin on 085-8727732. Thank you.


AUGHAGOWER CHURCH:

Every third Sunday of the Month 11.30 a.m. Mass involves the children of the First Holy Communion & Confirmation classes.


INVITATION TO MASS FOR THOSE WHO ARE BEREAVED:

The Annual Mass for all who are bereaved and especially those who were bereaved during the past year will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Westport on Friday 15th November 2024 at 7.30p.m. also available on Line.

PRAYER FOR NOVEMBER
Remember those who kept the faith. Who always turned to pray. Who showed the love of Jesus In their lives from day to day. Remember those this special time. Who live with God above, All Saints, All Souls and all our Own who live with God in Love.

NOVEMBER A TIME TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE DIED:The November Prayer space at the back of the church during the month of November allows us to place the names of our beloved departed on the Remembrance Tree, and all whose names are placed there will be remembered in our Masses during the month (special thanks in advance to Nonie O'Malley, Kitty Lowe & Peter Hastings for putting up the remembrance trees and the banner.)

 A PLENARY INDULGENCE:

A plenary indulgence can be gained for the Holy Souls on

 the 2nd November by visiting a church and on any day visiting a cemetery from the 1st to 8th November. The usual conditions apply of Confessions Holy Communion, prayer for the Pope's intentions and one Our Father and Apostles Creed. Sunday 27th Craft Fair & Monday 28th Traditional Fair Day.


MAYO PEOPLE OF THE YEAR AWARDS:

Twenty-one individuals and groups will be honoured at the Annual Awards in Breaffy House Hotel on Friday Nov. 15th We congratulate everyone involved but especially 

Westport Order of Malta – for their unwavering dedication over 81 years providing first aid services and compassionate care to those in need and Westport Women on wheels for raising €54,000 for the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.


 LECANVEY HARVEST FAIR OCT 27TH & 28TH Craft Fair Mon & Sun in Lecanvey Community Centre and Traditional Sheep Fair Monday from 11.30a.m. Music from 2.00p.m. Other attractions throughout the Day.
