If you would like to take Holy Communion home to a family member, neighbour or friend you can avail of a Pyx by calling in at the Sacristy or the Parish Office at the Presbytery, Westport. If anyone has finished using a Pyx please return it to the Sacristy or the Parish office. Thank you.
BAKE SALE & RAFFEL:
In Carrowbeg House, Sunday June 21st after 11am mass for our youth in St Mary's Parish.
Funds raised will subsidise Camp Veritas fees in Clongowes College for our teen Campers attending later this month.

“HEALING VOICE”
‘Healing Voice’, an evening of sacred music with Schola Cantorum Basilicae, takes place in the Chapel of Reconciliation at Knock Shrine on Friday, June 19th 2026 from 8pm to 9pm. All are welcome. Admission is free.
CASTLEBAR CONCERT BAND:
Presents their annual concert " Sounds of Summer” Friday evening June 19th at 8pm in the Linenhall Theatre, Castlebar. This year the Band will be accompanied by the High Flyers Community Orchestra and some other guests all of which should make for a lovely evening of music"

Is a voluntary group of Married Couples based in Ireland, who for over 25 years have been facilitating Pre-Marriage Courses for couples getting married in the Catholic Church.
We are holding pre-Marriage courses on the following dates:

CÉAD MILE FÁILTE TO AUGHAGOWER AND WESTPORT:
The Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is visiting Ireland as part of an official trip. Prime Minister Carney will meet with President Catherine Connolly at Westport House He will also attend Sunday Mass in Aughagower. This marks the first official visit to Mayo by a Canadian prime minister. His grandfather came from the townland of Ayle and his grandmother came from the townland of Mace. We wish him and his family a happy and safe visit to his Ancestral home.
CHARITY WALK ON CLARE ISLAND:
The 2026 Kathleen Conneely Memorial Island Charity Walk on Clare Island will take place on Saturday, July 20th. The 2026 beneficiary charities are The Irish Cancer Society and Pancreatic Cancer Ireland, both of which provide vital services and supports to individuals and families affected by cancer. Entry is by a donation of €50, or by raising a minimum of €50 in sponsorship per person. This includes return ferry travel from Roonagh Pier, as well as optional complimentary bus transfer from Castlebar and Westport. NATIONAL PILGRIMAGE FOR LIFE:
The National Pilgrimage for Life, will be celebrated on Saturday 20th June in Knock Shrine. Mass with Anointing of the sick at 3.00pm in the Basilica. This Pilgrimage is an opportunity to draw strength and inspiration from Mary, who is mother of Jesus and mother of the Church. Central to the pilgrimage will be the Eucharist which nourishes us through life as well as being a particular source of strength to the sick and the dying. We celebrate the gift of life and to pray for the protection of all human life.
PRAYER FOR EXAMINATION TIME:
God of wisdom: guide me as I choose questions and in the way I answer them.
God of peace: keep me calm so that I will do the best that I can.
God of understanding: help me put all of this into perspective.
