FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASS CERMONIES:

Inisturk Saturday June 13th June at 11.00a.m.

 

HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE HOUSE BOUND:

If you would like to take Holy Communion home to a family member, neighbour or friend you can avail of a Pyx by calling in at the Sacristy or the Parish Office at the Presbytery, Westport. If anyone has finished using a Pyx please return it to the Sacristy or the Parish office. Thank you.

 

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION:

Sunday 7th June is the Feast of Corpus Christi, weather permitting there will be an outdoor procession in Westport after the 11.00am Mass. All the First Holy Communion classes in the area are invited to take part in the Procession as part of their Grow in Love Mass. This year weather permitting the procession will finish with Benediction at the McBride Community Nursing Unit, on the green at St. Mary’s Crescent.

PRAYER BEFORE EXAMS:

Loving God, be with me now as I prepare for my exams. Thank you for the many talents & gifts you have given me and for the opportunity of education. Calm my nerves & anxiety, help me to remember all that I have studied, to express it clearly and to answer the questions to the very best that I can. Holy Spirit, sit with me in my exam-and always. Amen.

 

A STUDENT PRAYER:

Father, please clear my mind and give me the understanding and knowledge that comes only from vou. Bless me as I take this exam and bring the information that I've studied to mind when it is needed in this exam. Grant me favour as I begin this test. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

 

PRAYER SERVICE:

There will be a prayer Service for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert Students in St. Mary’s Church Westport on Tuesday June 2nd at 8.PM Please join us in prayer for our young exam students.

FUNERAL MINISTRY:

Thanks to all those who accepted nominations to volunteer to be part of this special ministry.

The information meeting for those nominated is on the 9th June at 7.00p.m. in the Plaza Hotel   

                          

NEW BOXES OF ENVELOPES:

Are available for collection this weekend. You can call in after Mass or at the Parish Office during the week.

We would appreciate the help of our usual volunteers to distribute them, and the help of any new volunteers would be a great help too.

ROSARY:

Children's Rosary 10.30 before 11.00 am mass on Sunday 14th June. All ages welcome.

 

BAKE SALE:

In Carrowbeg House, Sunday June 21st after 11am mass for our youth in St Mary's Parish. 

Funds raised will subsidise Camp Veritas fees in Clongowes College for our teen Campers attending later this month. 

 

MONTHLY MINI VIGIL:

Takes place at Knock Shrine on Friday, June 5th. Confessions available in the Chapel of Reconciliation from 8pm to 9pm. Vigil takes place in the Parish Church from 9pm to Midnight. See for details.
