The 2026 Kathleen Conneely Memorial Island Charity Walk on Clare Island is on Sat, July 20th in aid of The Irish Cancer Society and Pancreatic Cancer Ireland. WESTPORT ECO CONGREGATION:
We are now in plastic free July and the statistics are not good news for our planet It is estimated that 75 to 199 million tons of plastic are currently in our oceans and one million plastic bottles are purchased every minute worldwide, while up to five trillion plastic bags are used a year. We can all play our part and this July we can make a decision to refuse plastic packaging and single use plastic where possible. We can make a difference.
