Pope Leo reminds us in his Lenten message, that “It is only by returning to the heart can a true ecological conversion take place” – returning to the heart transforms the way we live in the world, helping us to distinguish between what is necessary and what is superfluous. Laudato Si emphasizes ecological conversion as a profound spiritual shift toward greater care for creation - A heart rooted in God learns to live more simply, more justly, and more gently within the limits of creation. Let our hearts be guided by these strong calls in the choices we make during this season of Lent.
